Fire Chief Urges Sprinklers

Hey, I know this is a Canadian story but safety and good cents have no boundries. A woman was critically injured in a home that has working smoke detectors yet was not equipped with sprinklers. The fire Chief took the opportunity to remind citizens that sprinklers in combination with smoke alarms greatly enhance fire protection in homes. [torantosun.com]

While the home had working smoke alarms, fire chief William Stewart urged homeowners to install sprinklers in their homes. ‘Anyone considering major renovations or building a new home should also consider installing residential sprinklers to avoid the possibility of tragedy related to fire,’ he said in a press release. ‘Residential sprinklers, along with working smoke alarms, will greatly enhance fire protection in your home.'”
